8 Days Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli And Tsavo West
Our safari will start from Nairobi to Masai Mara where we will see the wildebeests and the big five excluding the rhinos. The park is famous for its annual migration of the wildebeests as they cross Mara river from Serengeti National Park. Then we shall visit Lake Nakuru National park that is a home of thousands of flamingoes making it look like a pink carpet viewed from above. We shall also visit Amboseli National park a home of the largest elephants in the world. We shall visit Tsavo National park where we will see the Mzima Springs and the Shetani lava flow.
Day 1. Nairobi – Masai Mara
Pick-up from your Nairobi hotel / Airport for a journey to Masai Mara game reserve with a stop-over at the edge of the escarpment ,to marvel at the great eastern rift valley ; a geological phenomena emanating from the Red Sea to Mozambique in south Africa. ArriveMasai Mara in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive.Dinner and overnight in a lodge or Luxury camp.
Day 2.Masai Mara
Whole day spent in Masai Mara with game drives. Explore the vast tree studded reserve in search of lions, Elephants, Giraffe, Cheetah, Buffalo, Antelopes, Warthog etc. Wildlife in the Masai Mara is found in prolific numbers and the game reserve has the highest wildlife concentration per square kilometer.
Day 3.Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru
Depart Masai Mara for the lake Nakuru national park to arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive around the lake and into the national park. The lake hosts the world’s largest concentration of flamingoes which canopy the edge of this alkaline Rift valley lake. Pelicans and other bird species are abundant and the adjacent national park host lions, Giraffe, Warthog, leopard etc. There is a Rhino sanctuary and thus Rhino sightings are almost guaranteed. All meals and overnight in a lodge.
Day 4 LakeNakuru – Amboseli
Depart the lake Nakuru after breakfast. Proceed to the Amboseli national park via Nairobi for lunch. Arrive Amboseli in the late afternoon with the welcome views of the Mt. Kilimanjaro and a short game drive en-route. Dinner and overnight in lodge or Luxury camp.
Day 5 Amboseli
Full day spent in the Amboseli national park with game drives. Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and is snow-capped at the peak. The majesty of this tropical mountain makes Amboseli an ideal photographer’s haven by offering a spectacular back ground for wildlife and scenic photography. Herds of elephants inhabit this swampy park together with lions, cheetah, buffalo, warthog, rhino and different species of antelopes. The park is also a home of interesting bird species. All meals and overnight in a lodge / Luxury camp.
Day 6 Amboseli – Tsavo West
Early pre – breakfast game drive and probable last sights of the Mount Kilimanjaro. After breakfast ,continue for an en-route game viewing .Later proceed to Tsavo west to arrive in the afternoon. Check in to Ngulia safari lodge for lunch and a short relation before going for the evening game drive, visiting the rhino sanctuary with game viewing to and from the sanctuary. Dinner and overnight in your safari lodge
Day 7 Tsavo west – Nairobi
Early morning breakfast will be followed by a visit to Mzima Spring, here you will find a huge pool of water emanating from river underground with sources in the Kilimanjaro forming a home to hippos crocodiles and fish. There is an underground glass observatory tank that will enable you to view all the animal activities from underground, there after depart for Nairobi with lunch en-route. Arrive in Nairobi in the early evening. Dinner and overnight at a Nairobi hotel.
Day 8: Spa
After breakfast and a bit of relaxing, we shall head to the spa for a soothing and relaxing massage. This will take the better part of the morning. Afterwards, we shall depart to the airport for the return journey.
