11 day safari is true adventure for those who want to see Kenya on comfortable pace. Lakes, wildlife, stunning nature and people for sure will not leave you indifferent. Tour starts and ends in Nairobi. You will visit Amboseli National park, Sweetwaters, Samburu National Park, Lake Nakuru, Lake Bogoria where you will see the hot geysers, lake Naivasha and one of the Seven Wonders of the World; Maasai Mara well known for its annual migration.

Day 1 – Nairobi- Amboseli National Park

On the first day we depart Nairobi towards Amboseli National park

Depart Nairobi and drive south across the Athi Plains, home of the Masai and on to Amboseli. Amboseli is renowned for its large herds of free-ranging African elephants as well as huge herds of wildebeests and many other animals including giraffes, African lions, monkeys, zebras, hyenas and antelope with Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak providing a beautiful back drop. We arrive early mid-day and freshen up, followed by lunch and a short rest. You later explore the Amboseli plains in an evening game drive at 1600 hours before returning to the Lodge for dinner.

Day 2 – Amboseli National Park

A full day game drive in Amboseli NP. Get ready for magnificent Kilimanjaro views and Elephants!

You spend the full day in Amboseli. You will wake for early morning game drive.  An early morning light reveals the Mountain Kilimanjaro turned into dark hue of purple and its snow into an ethereal pink and the sight of the mountain high above herds of elephants crossing the Amboseli plains is a timeless African image. You head back to the lodge for breakfast with mid morning at leisure followed by lunch. In the afternoon you will proceed for an evening game drive to see what more the Amboseli has to offer.


Day 3: Amboseli National Park – Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary

Chimpanzees, Rhinos and BIG 5 in Sweetwaters Ranch

On this day you will have a very early breakfast at the lodge and we return by road to Nairobi with picnic lunch boxes. We proceed past Nairobi and head north to Nanyuki located at the cool Kenyan highlands near Mt Kenya. We arrive for an afternoon game drive in this private sanctuary which is a private sanctuary for chimpanzees and rhinos and a home to the Big 5. You check in  in the Camp late evening and freshen up for dinner.

Day 4: Sweetwaters – Samburu Game Reserve

Another exciting day on Kenyan safari. You will visit Samburu Game reserve on the northern territory of Kenya. The reserve is rich in wildlife with an abundance of rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and the beisa oryx (also referred to as Samburu Special Five).

After breakfast we proceed further north to Northern territory of Kenya, home of the Samburu tribe who are cousins to the Masais. The area is a semi-arid region which is scenically and faunally dramatic is under the hot equatorial sun. This rugged semi-desert region however is home to game species rarely found elsewhere. Some of the rare species found in Samburu like Beisa Oryx, Reticulated Giraffe, Somali Ostrich and the Grevys Zebra. You will arrive in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive at 1600hrs before returning to the Lodge.


Day 5: Full day in Samburu Game Reserve

After breakfast game drive safari to Samburu Game Reserve with lunch break then continue with exploration of the park.

You spend a full day in the Samburu Reserve where you will have a morning and evening game drive. You will continue to search for the rare species of the Samburu as they find relief on the River Ewaso Ng’iro that runs through the reserve. The reserve is relatively smaller to other reserves and national parks but offers a great encounter. There is a number of weird and wonderful wildlife species endemic to this area such as Gerenuk antelope, Leopard, lion, cheetah and hyenas are easy to spot. For the bird lovers too there is lots of bird life on the trees along the river with some of the bird species being endangered species.

Day 6: Samburu Game Reserve – Lake Nakuru National Park

Day six is planned to take you to Lake Nakuru, small but abundant habitat for flamingos and hundreds of other bird species.

After breakfast we proceed down to Lake Nakuru National Park, regarded by avid birders’ as the greatest World ornithological spectacle on the Earth. The Park is famous for its millions of pink flamingoes lining on the lake shore. We arrive mid morning in Nakuru and check-in at our Hotel in town followed by lunch. After a short rest we proceed for an afternoon game drive at 1600hrs at the nearby Lake Nakuru National Park. The Park is also Sanctuary to the Black Rhino, White Rhino and the Rothschild Giraffe. Bird life include common species like the lesser and Greater Flamingoes, African fish Eagle, Tawny Eagle, Green Wood Hoopoes, Cliff Chat, Great White and Pink Backed Pelicans plus other intra- African Migrants.

Day 7: Lake Nakuru-Lake Bogoria-Lake Naivasha

Another day, another lake. Lake Bogoria with hot springs swimming and game drive in the afternoon.

You will depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast and proceed south to the spectacular Lake Bogoria where the hot springs and the geysers are the main attractions. The hot springs are hot enough to boil an egg. The lake has been called the “new home of the flamingo”with a nomad population of up to 2 million birds that migrate from Lake Nakuru Park. You will have lunch at the Lake Bogoria Spa Resort and later an afternoon game drive in the reserve. The reserve is home to the leopard, klipspringer and caracal as well as the wonderful greater Kudu. In fact it is one of the best places to see this mighty kudu with its spiraling horns. You drive to your Lodge near Lake Naivasha in the early evening.

Day 8: Lake Naivasha- Masai Mara Game Reserve

Maasai Mara is probably most famous national park in Kenya. Another chance to spot big 5!

After breakfast we depart Lake Naivasha on the floor of the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. This enormous Reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains and is famously known for its’ spectacular great wildebeest migration and is a true home of the big five-Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Rhino and Cape Buffalo. You arrive in time for lunch at the Lodge followed by a short rest. At 1600hrs, explore the Reserve on a late evening game drive and later drive back to the Lodge.

Day 9: Full day in Masai Mara Game Reserve

A busy day on safari. You will spend whole day mainly in the vehicle, wandering through the plains of Maasai Mara.

The Masai Mara is one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. You spend a whole day in the Mara starting with a very early morning and another afternoon game drive. Large mammals are varied, abundant and easy to see. Residents among the parks mammals are; Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Impala, Zebra, Topi, both the Thomson’s and Grant’s Gazelles. Optional hot Air Balloon rides are available on this day at an additional cost. OR a full day out in the game reserve can be arranged. You will depart in the morning with the picnic lunch boxes and we shall return to the Camp in late afternoon.

Day 10: Masai Mara- Nairobi

We depart from our safari camp and take a morning game drive through the Maasai Mara Reserve. Then we return to bustling Nairobi, arriving at about 14:00 in the afternoon. Head to Ruiru Rainbow Resort for late lunch. After the late lunch and a bit of relaxing, we shall head to the spa for a soothing and relaxing massage. This will take the better part of the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the resort.

Day 11: Departure

After breakfast depart to the airport for your return journey.
